Halana Palmer - Ayurvedic Therapist & Practitioner
Halana is our certified Ayurvedic therapist and practitioner. Her life of natural healing begun as a child being brought up with alternative medicine from her mother who was an acupuncturist and homeopathist. She wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps and continue to spread the wealth of natural medicine but her interests were drawn to Ayurveda. She fell in love with the philosophy of Ayurveda and the complete health system that is tailored to each individual person. After exploring India to learn more about Ayurveda and immerse herself into the culture, she decided to complete her studies in London training under the renowned Ayurvedic and Medical doctor Dr Deepa.
Ayurveda is a natural healing system based from India that aims at achieving physical and mental harmony with nature. This ancient knowledge derives from Sanskrit text which dates back over 5000 years. Ayurveda means the ‘science of life’ (Ayu meaning life and Veda meaning science). The system works around the five great elements of space, air, fire, water and earth and how they vary and exist in each one of us to make us who we are. Using this system we are able to identify our individual constitution as well as our imbalances. Once this is identified we are able to reduce the imbalance’s with Ayurvedic techniques (massage, herbs, diet, yoga, meditation and lifestyle changes) bringing us back to our true individual constitution and live in harmony within ourselves and nature.
